Abstract: The text addresses the affectivity that Digital Storytelling technique can enable in the educational context, as well as highlighting reflections and suggestions on the planning and production of audiovisual materials. The methodology of the article is based on the bibliographic research. The theoretical anchoring fields are mainly, but not exclusively, Communication and Education. The seccion “results and discussions” contain reflections arising from bibliographical research, under the following division: 1) characterization of Digital Storytelling, which presents the origin of the technique; 2) Digital Storytelling as affectivity tool in the educational context, that presents aspects of the technique that can contribute to the creation of learning communities; 3) scripting and production of Digital Storytelling, in which information is disseminated that may be useful to those interested in trying the technique in school environments. Finally, the conclusions highlight the quality and effectiveness that an educational audiovisual product can find in the creativity and diversity possible when going beyond the usual models and standards.

Abstract: The article revises texts in English and in Portuguese about the production of digital stories for the educational context. The objective is to reflect upon the necessary characteristics for the development of experiences with audio-visual stories. The methodology used in this study is based on a bibliographical research. The results of the study indicate that the capacity to build coherent audio-visual narratives, as well as the ability to edit images and sounds, are demanded of the people involved in the educational context due to the insertion of multiple digital technologies in the daily life. Thus, it is argued that the experience with the production of digital stories in the classroom or outside the classroom may enhance the digital literacy of the students.
